Synopsis:

What do I say that I haven't said before about Colleen's books? I haven't read a book of hers yet that was predictable or typical. She always has so much originality. So once again she has written another beautiful story; it makes you laugh, cry, and scream.
Her characters in this book are flawed but still likable. She shows you what true beauty is. She takes you on one hell of a journey.
I should know by now that when I read a synopsis of hers not to jump and think I know what it's going to be about because every single time she surprises me.
So what's it about? What do you do when you think you found the one? When you are too young to commit and you want to live your life without being tied someone? Well you make an agreement to meet the same day for five years and see if those feelings change. As we all know a lot changes in five years. Life happens.
This is a story that touched me in so many ways. I couldn't get enough of it and when it ended I wanted more. I don't even want to go into detail about the book because you need to read it and find out the beauty of it for yourself.
I highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of discovering
Colleen Hoover a few years ago when I was searching for something to read after
I finished 50 Shades of Gray and Beautiful Disaster. I started Slammed and have
been hooked to Colleen’s books ever since!
Tricia and I decided to read
November 9 together. I was excited to be reading a book by Colleen with someone
who loved her books just as much as I do. When I started November 9 I had no
idea what I was getting ready to read. I knew I was going to read the book no
matter what, and to keep myself from aching for Colleen's next book, I decided
that I wasn't even going to read the description of the book, so going in blind
was kind of fun.
I fell in love with Fallon almost
immediately. Who can not love a character who says something like this...
"Releasing sperm into the vagina of a twenty-four-year-old does not a
father make." Fallon is one of those characters who is in so many ways
broken but that it makes her even more relatable. She is wise beyond her years
and stronger than she realizes.
Ben on the other hand is a
completely different story. I found Ben to be one of those characters who is
faking it until he makes it. He's wise and strong in his own way, but is a
complete disaster in others. He's almost immediately loveable but also has
moments of major idiocity.
What I loved most about the book was
the journey these characters take us on. Both Ben and Fallon make mistakes, and
grow throughout the book. It's an amazingly beautiful and sometimes devastating
story, with a roller coaster ride of emotions jammed packed at every turn the
story takes.
As so many of Colleen's stories, I
felt a personal connection to both Ben and Fallon, in more ways than I can
name. Their sadness felt like my own, their pain and hurt were fully felt and
tears were cried right along with the characters. I highly recommend this story
to anyone. It will definitely give you all the feels you can handle.
Whenever I read a Colleen Hoover
book, one of the things I look forward to, are the little tidbits of wisdom and
humor she always sprinkles throughout her books. These are just a few of my
favorites.

On one final note, Griffin Peterson
wrote a song for the book, the same as he did for Ugly Love, and is SOOOO worth
a listen, but I will say, I think it's better, and has more meaning to listen
after you've read the book.
